About Us
The World Plastics Council (WPC) is a global association whose members represent 80% of global plastics production from Asia, the Middle East, North and South America, and Europe.
The mission of the World Plastics Council is to help address the global challenges facing the plastics systems whilst ensuring that society continues to benefit from plastics. It is focused on reducing plastic pollution and addressing climate change through the development of a circular economy globally.
As the voice of the global industry, the World Plastics Council sees its role as a convener, promoting increased collaboration and dialogue with a wide range of stakeholders, including the plastics value chain, governments, the UN, NGOs and researchers. It advocates for policies that reduce plastics waste and drive advances in circularity across the plastics system and globally.
